Every time I make a post to the Melrose Grapevine, I’m reminded of Garrison Keillor’s comments about the latest from “Lake Wobegon.” Become anyone jumps to any conclusions, I am in NO way comparing Melrose to Lake Wobegon. It’s just the phrase pops up when I start to post about our Melrose happenings.
So, here’s the latest just in from Jennifer Pritchett about Thursday’s “Successful Aging” meeting:
“The new year is already picking up speed. Would you be so kind as to remind our fellow Melrose citizens that Thursday, January 14, 2010, is the next scheduled “Successful Aging in the Lake Area” meeting from 6-7:30 at the Episcopal Parish Hall? Previous participants have identified actions to be taken to make Melrose a wonderful place to age well. Thursday’s participants will be deciding how to start putting those initiatives into place. Exciting stuff.
Hope to see you there,”
