The Division of Consumer Services is the state’s clearinghouse for consumer complaints, information and protection. We regulate various businesses, and protect consumers and businesses from unfair and unsafe business practices across a wide range of market sectors. If you have been the victim of scams, fraud or identity theft, or want to know more about your rights as a consumer, please attend this presentation.
The Melrose Library Association will present the popular Private Camellia Garden Visit on January 29 from noon to 4 p.m. Chuck and Bev Ritter, top national camellia exhibitors for the last show season, are growing almost 1500 camellias. Larry Rahme will again be selling camellia plants including many hard-to-find varieties.
Besides touring the garden, which should be in full bloom, there will be talks and demonstrations, silent auction, valentine gifts, and cookie sale 202 Mason Rd., Melrose. Take SR 26 2 miles east of Melrose. Turn south on Mason Rd. and follow the signs. ks and demonstrations, silent auction, and cookie sale. This will be an opportunity to see varieties not in commerce and grown only a few places. Entry is $5 per person. Golf carts will be available for those needing assistance. Proceeds will support programs and activities at the library.
