General Meeting of MBCA for February

Greetings, MBCA Members, Melrose Residents, and Other Interested People:

The February General Meeting of the MBCA will be held at the Homemakers Club in Melrose on Tuesday, February 13th. Doors open at 11:30a; meeting starts at noon. All are welcome to attend. Anticipated agenda includes:

  • General Update on MBCA issues (Deb Massie)
  • Speakers: Black History of Melrose (Cornelius Clayton, Corrie Garnet)
  • New local business introduction (Barbara Franklin)
  • Heritage Park and bathroom update (Keith Bollum)
  • Evening Social planned for March 9th
  • Open Issues

    It was good to see several businesses represented there today! I thought that we’ve been neglecting the business end of our organization for too long.

    Also, Mr. Clayton’s presentation with respect to Black History Month was very informative and entertaining. He’s an historic icon in the community himself.
