Work on your art project with us! Hawthorne library can be your space for getting art work done. We will have paper, watercolor and acrylic paints, and brushes here for you to use, so all you need is your creativity.

SHINE Counseling

AGE GROUP:  ADULTS (19 AND UP)

The Florida Department of Elder Affairs offers counseling that is unbiased, confidential and no cost, by trained SHINE Volunteer Counselors. The discussion will consist of definitions, costs, options and all questions answered.  Please bring with you: Medicare Card and Social Security Card; A print-out of medications from pharmacy or bottles; Proof of annual household income to determine whether you qualify for extra help;  MUST HAVE driver’s license or photo I.D.; Any letters from Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid which you may have received.  Call the Elder Care Helpline to reserve other times/locations: 1-800-963-5337, or walk-ins are welcome on the 4th Thursday of each month at the Hawthorne Branch Library, 6640 SE 221st Street, Hawthorne, Florida 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.

LZ Bingo: An Account of a Vietnam Veteran’s Service

Teen Drama Club

Join us for Teen Drama Club this spring! Activities will include improv, monologues, watching films, and more. We will meet the last Tuesday of every month from 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
