Keith Bollum Passes

Many people join Melrose in mourning the recent passing of a social pillar, art patron, and good man, Keith Bollum, who died in the presence of his loving family on Friday, March 15, 2019, after his battle with cancer. Keith was the curator of Bellamy Road Art Gallery when it opened in 2005. His promotion of all things artistic and historic left a legacy. His welcome face will indeed be missed among us.

Keith’s memorial will be at Mossman Hall on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 6 to 9 pm. This will be a historical remembrance of the years 2006 to 2012 that Keith spent at Bellamy Road, Fine Arts, Literature and Film. It will include photos that show hundreds of people who attended the numerous events that were presented to the community with a Powerpoint Presentation, posters, postcards and 6 notebooks with press clippings that were organized by Keith. We also will show segments of Keith’s personal life with his friends in Melrose. Under Keith’s guidance many well known authors, film makers, artists, poets and musicians came to the small town of Melrose, so it is with this in mind that we hope to reflect on the glory days of Bellamy Road, Fine Arts, Literature and Film and Keith Bollum.

Mossman Hall will be open on June 29 & 30 from noon to 5 pm also for anyone wishing to spend more time.
