AARP Foundation Tax Aide

Certified AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers provide FREE income tax preparation for people with low and middle income with special attention to those age 60 and older. Taxpayers will be served on a first come first served basis. Please arrive at least ONE HOUR prior to closing.


Legal Concerns of a Small Business Startup

Are you thinking about starting your own small business, but puzzled by all of the licenses, forms and processes involved? Join SCORE for this workshop for Small Business Startups! This workshop will focus on aspects of starting your business that may involve Federal, State or local government, and help you to understand what you must do, when, and in what order to do it. The presenter is Don Gorenberg an experienced retail business owner, Chairman Emeritus of the local SCORE chapter, and an attorney. Mr. Gorenberg has experience with Real Estate, Rental Services and Leasing and Retail and Wholesale Trade.


Tools to Quit Tobacco

Tuesday, March 27          5:00pm – 7:00pm

This program developed by ex-smokers will provide you with valuable tools that needed to quit tobacco. These tools include: Talking about what triggers you to smoke, dip, or chew. Specific ways to deal with withdrawal. Up to four FREE weeks of nicotine patches, gum, or lozenges. Pre-Registration is required. Please call 866-341-2730 to reserve your spot! Presented by the Tobacco Free Florida AHEC Cessation Program and Suwannee River Area Health Education Center.

Discover computer science and coding with Scratch while having fun with club members. Create and share your own digital stories!  Use the computer to design your own stories, create and share your own animations, and learn how technology is used in the film and media industry. Explore Identity: Discover women from history and celebrate YOURSELF!

Discover yourself during Women’s History Month by creating your own Who Is? book craft.

Explore women’s history with the Who Was? series during Women’s History month. Then on March 13 write & illustrate your own miniature version describing yourself! List proud achievements and identify goals you have.


Teen Events:

Build-A-Space for Teens

Thursday, March 15          3:00pm – 4:00pm

Hawthorne Branch            Meeting Room

Teens ages 10 – 18 can join us for an afternoon of building and creating! Using library materials such as K-nex, Legos, Amaze’N’ Marbles, Quibits, Q-BA-Maze and more, teens can have fun and make new friends.


Teen Movie Matinee: Enjoy a movie at the Library

Join us for an afternoon movie selected for teens.  However, all ages may attend our movie matinee!
