March 5, 2020       Front Porch Backsteppers – Eli Tragash and Virginia Carr  

Eli on fiddle, Virginia on guitar, vocals:  A southern string band blending songs of bluegrass, folk, country and old timey fiddle music; some dance tunes and lively sing-alongs. 

March 12  Virginia Boone, Annual  St. Pat Show    Virginia has played traditional Irish music since 1997.  Her main instruments are flute & Irish whistle.  She also plays the Bodhran (Irish drum), and Anglo concertina, sings and seannos (old style) Irish dance. Has danced with local Irish dance company Inisheer (who mainly perform set dances, and Seannos)  Virginia attends Irish music sessions typically on a weekly basis.   She has performed at the Florida Folk Festival, Ormond Beach Celtic festival, and the Celtic fest in Jackson, MS. 

March 19       “Sweet William” Billy Ennis   “Sweet William”  is a singer/song writer who hails from Palatka Florida with deep roots in the Lakes area. His personally original songs written over the span of fifty years covers multi genres and subjects including love, war and tragedy. His newest, “Santa Fe” is a powerful reflection of his concern and empathy. His selection of cover favorites includes Folk, Country, Rock and Blues and it is easy to sing along!

March 26   Jimmy “Redbone” Childs         Redbone has been a local blues musician in Gainesville since the early 70s and played professionally with Little Mike and The Tornadoes for five years. He has associated and played with notable national blues acts as Kim Wilson from the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Willy Smith, drummer from the Muddy Waters Band and piano players Barrelhouse Chuck and Sunnyland Slim.
