Notice: Time change:

In order to fit into more people’s schedules, it has been asked if the Tuesday morning Meditation group could be moved from 8:00 am up to 9:00 am.

Whether you are a long-time meditator, or curious about just how to do it, all beings are welcome.

Silently meditate every Tuesday morning at 9:00 at the Melrose Senior Community Center (307 Bellamy Avenue [SR 26], behind the yellow bldg., 352-475-5347).

Learn to recognize your thoughts, reduce stress, &/or deepen your path — it is an individual experience within the energy of a group.

Meditation does not go against any religious precepts; it helps one see the way things are, and to lighten up!

Just sit and wake up!

THE KEYSTONE FARMER’S MARKET CELEBRATES IT’S SIXTH ANNIVERSARY ON OCTOBER 1ST.

Sandy Rodgers, who now owns ‘Healthy Living 4U,’ started the Market six years ago. For it’s first five years, the Market was a ‘green’ market focusing on locally produced food and crafts. It was held on Thurs. afternoons behind City Hall. Last year a number of changes to the Market resulted in a larger and more diverse market. The emphasis still is on locally produced items.

For it’s Anniversary, the Market has planned several special events, including clowns, cake, balloons, face painting and door prizes. Frank, the Baker will be providing the cake. For the raffle, a one month’s free membership has been donated by ‘North Florida Elite Dancing and Tumbling.’ Dancers from Elite will also be performing. Rhonda from ‘Gumbo Head Goat Farm’ will have one of her Nubian goats at the Market and may do a milking demonstration. As always, John Alison and Friends will be jamming. Everyone is invited to come and help the Market celebrate in style.

The Market is held every Saturday across from City Hall in the ‘Natural Park’ from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Contact: Cheryl Owen, Market Manager, at 352-473-9058 or e-mail her by clicking here for additional information.
