We are excited to announce that Mike Williams will be joining the Institute for Workforce Innovation’s (IWI) Melrose Senior Community Center as the new Center Coordinator. Mike’s first day at the center will be Monday, August 26th. Mike is a longtime resident of Bradford County and has worked with IWI since March 2013 as a Career Developer at the FloridaWorks One-Stop Career Center in Starke. As a Career Developer Mike assisted jobseekers in all phases of their job search efforts. Previously he worked with seniors as a financial planner and in a ministerial capacity. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from The Baptist College of Florida.
He and his wife Breanna just celebrated their fifth anniversary in July and welcomed their first child, Isaac into the family in February. Mike enjoys playing tennis and relaxing on and around many of the pristine lakes of north central Florida. He is excited to be serving as the Center Coordinator and looks forward to working with people from Melrose and the surrounding communities.
IWI will host a “Meet and Greet” on September 5th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM to more formally introduce Mike to the MSCC family and Melrose community alike. We welcome all those who wish to participate to join us at that time. If you have any questions or concerns please call MSCC at 352-475-5347.
