Melrose Contra Dance

It’s that time again!

Come on out to Shake Rag Art and Culture
Center in Melrose next Friday, Oct. 14 and start your weekend with some contra dancing in a beautiful venue with a
great wood floor and fabulous art.

The Potluck Poachers (Karan Newman, Chuck
Spitzner, Pete & Eleta Sucsy, and Pat Stevens) are back to play the tunes and Susie Rudder will be calling the
dances. We’ll be dancing from 7:30-10:00pm. If you’ve never done contra before, come at 7:30 for instruction in
the basics and you’ll be up to speed by 8:00! $5 donation

Here are directions from Gainesville: See you

Shake Rag is located at #301 Bellamy Avenue (SR 26) and Grove Street. From Gainesville, take University Ave or 39th Ave heading
east. They merge and become S.R. 26. Once you are in Melrose, Shake Rag is set back on the right just beyond, and beside, Heritage Park; if you arrive at the traffic light you’ve gone too far. It’s 18 miles from University Ave & Main St. in Gainesville.
