125th Anniversary of the Melrose Woman's Club
The Melrose Woman's Club is celebrating 125 years of community service at their newly restored historic clubhouse at 303 Pine Street in Melrose. Cynthia Patterson, PhD from the University of South Florida, will present “Catching the Spirit: The Melrose Ladies Literary and Debating Society and Social Reform 1890-99”. Join us to hear this wonderful presentation and enjoy light refreshments, chamber music, and view an antique car, weather permitting. We will also have a 50/50 raffle drawing to raise money for scholarships. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the event, you do not need to be present to win.To truly “catch the spirit”, dress in your 19th Century best and join our members who will be wearing their favorite Victorian fashions.

Melrose Dulcimers Jam
Join us for our monthly jam at the historic Melrose Homemaker’s Club building. Our jam includes old-time fiddle tunes, waltzes, and gospel music or whatever happens to be called. The instruments usually played at our jam? Mountain dulcimers (of course), hammered dulcimers, kazoos, harmonicas, guitars, recorders, and occasionally a fiddle. Singing, too! Open to the public.
NOTE:November and February jams will take place on the 1st Saturday of the month.
